So far about $500,000 has been used for developing plans and grading the property to prepare it for construction. Jackson Township has received $1.5 million in state funds to build the amphitheater. The amphitheater will be north of the library and a grassy plaza will separate the structures. ![]() The library will be constructed near the corner of Fulton Drive and Community Parkway NW. The amphitheater is being built in conjunction with a new Stark County District Library branch. Trustees hope to take action and select a bid when they meet on March 26. Township officials and the architect for the project, SoL Harris/Day in Jackson Township, will review the bids to determine which offers the best option at the lowest price. Tuesday evening Jackson Township trustees opened bids from nine companies interested in building the facility. By the end of this month trustees might have a contractor for an amphitheater that has been proposed for North Park. ![]()
